You guys better be glad your likes are becoming mainstream. Mecha will never be as loved as this. Stop it from being Americanized. Moe is perfect for corporate BS in fact it was spawned from corporate BS. Point being, I think that most anime fans think their likes are exotic or unique when in reality they can have mass appeal of marketed properly.
Tzion
Mecha was also spawned from corporate BS. Both are used primarily to sell merchandise.
Sirius
Miku is a corporate tool. What is wrong with it being used in 'America'. Let me explain: everyone who is a moefag bases their identity on the obscurity of their 'like'. I am not saying mecha is not corporate, but what about how you say you do not insult anyone's taste. You are obviously using this 'corporate' stuff as a counter-jab back. Of course mecha is corporate, but you do not hear us mecha fans complain if our guys are used to sell cars huh? It is only moefags who think their characters are sacred merchandise.

Case in point, Transformers uses GM vehicles. Though I do critique 'bayformers' I am not MAD GERR LET US ATTACK HASBLOW AND GM FOR RUINING TRANSFORMERS FOREVER. This is just the moefag 'ruined forever' moment. In that way it is funny.

I am glad GM endorses Transformers.
Tzion
Actually, moefags base their identity on moe, not obscurity.
Sirius
Actually, they use obscurity to hide what they like and claim no one understands them as a shield when dealing with real life. If not, why are these pics generating tons of rage? I am glad you did not debate with me the validity of the majority of my claim.

And yes Tzion, most anime fans relish the fact that they are cool and hip because no one likes what they like. Little do they know, their interests will become mainstream if the majority accepts a cute virtual moe girl. Like you said in the other pic, this is apart of mainstream Japanese consumer culture so why not in America where there is an emerging market huh?

This is the point in moe fandom where there will be cries for ruined forever.

"they use obscurity to hide what they like and claim no one understands them as a shield when dealing with real life"

this

tzion you're the only moefag i've ever spoken to that doesn't have this mindset
Tzion
Then you don't know any true moefags.
Tzion
Except me. Eye'm da truest.
murasakidoku

Tzion
